Literature Text

He sees the same girl in his dreams every single night since the early days of his life. He knows not of who she is or what she is for that matter, but she knows she is like starlight and he wants nothing more than to meet the girl that appears in his dreams, whatever it may take. He remembers a little of their adventures each time, one time traveling the rivers deep that led to a boat growing moss on its cargo, another time raising his hand held high and helping her paint the sky with colors lent to them by the wind. Each was nonsensical, each was magical, each was a treasure locked deep in his heart whenever he thought about those wonderful things as he went through his daily life. And every single one of them focused on the girl of starlight, long hair splaying onto the ground flowing like an ocean the color of rust brown while she remained garbed in a multitude of colors, almost as if she were a jester in a court. He could never see her eyes though and he longed to look straight into them and see what kind of pools they were. Green? Gold? Gray? It mattered not, he just wanted to stare into them forever as he held the girl close to his body each time he felt himself fading away. And she always returned it with a smile before waving bye bye and he would wake up, sighing blissfully before reality made his way to wake him up.

While he remained in reality, she remained in the dream world, weaving her emotions into each fragment, always happy, never sad. She never wanted him to see the sadness or loneliness she sometimes felt, but ever since she met him, each day was a joyous gift to her. So she stayed, plucking the fruits of her labor from gardens above or sailing across the milky way with nothing but a lamp to show her the way as she constantly thought of the boy that kept entering her domain in his sleep. Who was he? Where did he come from? What was his life like? She longed for him to answer those questions but the urgings fell away whenever she saw him. And so they spent their time together, blissfully going about their dream and playing their parts as each shard of fun was kept between the two, a secret that was shared by non one else.
